This device enables ON / OFF control of the igniter power supply for gasoline engines from the transmitter side.
It can be used by connecting to a spare free switch channel.
In addition to igniter power control, it can also be used to control the lighting (LED) of aircraft, helicopters, etc. and power control of smoke pumps.
Specifications
The receiver signal and the igniter control signal are completely separated by an optical element (photocoupler).
It prevents malfunction due to noise.
You need an empty (spare) switch channel in your system to control ON / OFF.
If you are using a S.BUS2 / XBus system compatible receiver, you can change the channel number from the transmitter.
*The factory default setting is "5ch".
The KS-01 can be used by switching between two operation modes, direct mode and regulated mode, with the slide switch. Please set up the transmitter according to which operation to use, referring to the following.
Normal Mode : Turn the igniter power on and off with switch operation.
Setting
Determine the channel and toggle switch to turn the igniter on and off. Use the transmitter's endpoint function to set the movement amount to "100%" for both left and right.
Power on the KS-01.
Operate the toggle switch on the transmitter side and check the operation direction etc. To reverse the ON / OFF direction, use the transmitter's reverse function.
Safety Mode : Turn the igniter power on and off with two switch operations within 0.5 seconds. (Preventing accidental operation)
Setting
Determine the channel and toggle switch to turn the igniter on and off. Use the transmitter's endpoint function to set the movement amount to "50%" for both left and right.
Power on the KS-01.
Operate the toggle switch on the transmitter side and check the operation direction etc. To reverse the ON / OFF direction, use the transmitter's reverse function.
*Please be noted
If the neutral is greatly shifted by sub trim, etc., it may not be able to turn ON / OFF normally, so set the sub trim to "0".
If the toggle switch is ON direction after the transmitter power is turned on, you should turn off it first to turn on.
After changing the transmitter endpoint value, be sure to turn off the KS-01 once, and turn on.
